    Rat cage wanted

Anybody in Auckland have a cage suitable for 2 young rats, that may be available for a short term loan?

We have two babies here, but the bloody courier dropping off their expensive new home, only delivered half the package, and as such they are living in a small box.

Won't someone think of the small rodents??

Should have their new home Monday, and any temporary accommodation will be cleaned thoroughly and rent paid in (cheap cos I'm tight) beer!

    Churs!

Would this type be suitable? Or are rats picky?

we used old fish aquariams for ours... got em cheap cos the glue in the sides had gone, but didnt matter for rats. so if you know anyone who used to have fish, they may well still have the tank.

Arse, poor wee things are all cooped up, trapped like... well, rats!

Sorry can't help you out on a loaner.

We used an old bird cage for our ratty house.
    Worked out really well
    - bottom comes off which makes cleaning really easy.
    - lots of things for them to climb on ( multi levels ) and plenty of space for a
ice cream container for a more private space for them.
    - easy to hang the water drip

Cool pets, make sure you handle them a lot so they are not people shy

We've kept many rats, but due to an infestation of children into our house, we had to stop lest the rats catch anything.

However, the kids are sanitised enough now that the new additions should be safe!

We've got a rat cage you can have (two, actually, but one's really a bird cage). Plus some rat toys.
