    Lifesaver given parking fine

A driver who pulled over to assist a biker who had been injured in a crash has been rewarded… with a £100 parking fine by Bromley Council.

Nick Ford, 33, dialled 999, kept the man warm and looked after, until a paramedic arrived. Mr Ford then assisted with first aid until an ambulance arrived at the scene in Beckenham, south London.

Mr Ford said “We were keeping this guy alive – he was wailing in pain. The grinch of a warden must have seen what was going on.”

Bromley Council responded “The vehicle was on yellow lines. He can appeal.”

    Parking

Local council up here had just introduced a free gold card for over 65's to display on their dash for free parking up to 11am. First day the organiser of the scheme got ticketed when attending a meeting praising the scheme with council officers with all conditions adhered to.
