Perfectly serious offer. Would be nice to help out a stranger instead of being expected to by family and friends.

going to be a weird one i dont even know what a family is throwing myself in the deep end here.

as for the rest of you.. enjoy tomorrow as much as you can if not just smile and get drunk (no riding!)
Oooh. Learning experience ahead. My advice to you is that you follow your own advice and just get drunk (no riding!)

Extended family christmasses are just the weirdest... at least mine always were.

    Best of luck!

unfortunately in aus and NZ you can only have a live donor from a relative or close family friend of some years standing - then they bitch about the lack of donors! Also they do extensive psych tests on the donor so if they feel you are suffering from depression or other similar stuff they won't do it either.

Which is frustrating cos my family can cover a compatible donors cost. And that is also illegal. (Though people just do it on the QT). So not only is a live donor expected to be the above criteria, they are also somehow expected to donate six - eight weeks mortgage and living costs themselves.

I like Christmas, but I hate with a passion the fnargled up NZ health system.

    Thanks for the offer though.

My kids put themselves to bed at 7.30, when asked why I'm told that it makes Christmas eve shorter and Christmas get's here faster.

Damn I miss being a kid.

Bugger of a system we have, especially as a donor on license it can be overturned by family.Know of a guy who died,he ended up giving most of his organs as was a donor, his family recieved replies via doctors from people with his cornea, lungs, heart, family were rapt and proud of their dad,who died by accident.

Have an auntie who wanted to donate her liver a few years ago,was told don't do it,now she has serious probs with it,not bloody fair, awseome lady too,why the fuck does this happen to the best people,I was brought up believing (and do)in a God,if there is one,why does he do things like this, and let pricks steal presents etc.

I lived in the Naki for many years and my doctor and the counselors I tried in the past, none of them believe I am depressed if either of those factors help.

Also what about going to a free trade county say U.S?

I tend to bit of a safety Sam and play by the rules a lot but the above rules are stupid.

Without hardship and adversity we cannot appreciate the good times.
Without "pricks" we could not appreciate the good people in our lives.

    Gah... christmas sucked.

Turned up to work after getting drenched in the farked up NZ weather... then everyone was really loud and shouting merry christmas at me like machinegun fire... all the while extremely repetitive old christmas songs on the stereo blaring away... hid away in the office and read the notes to get up to speed and waited for the last shift of people to clear off.. then radio went off.. smile painted on and I started my work. Gah...

Told people at work I would swap shifts if they wanted the night off since im not working that night, just the morning. They all looked at me like I was on drugs.

    Meh.
