i answer to pretty much anything EXCEPT my real name, lol. i live by an abbreviation of my full name, and am tagged as such as work.
i do answer to sun [though crashe will argue that] and while in canada lived for 6 months as "kiwi"... thats what people called me, and what i replied to. my partner there thought kiwi was my real name for months.
i find it easier to work on usernames, as often i can match a user with their avatar and remember it easier.

good point, subike. i think this year ive met about 3 different johns, but im never 100% i get the name right, so user name basis it is! only time i will use first name is if i see them regular off site.
