How to quote part of a post?

I tryed the search button, and I looked through the Site Stuff pages, so either I missed it, or I'm thicker than the rest of you who managed to work it out by yourselves! How do I quote part of someones post in my reply post? Also, people quote part of a post, then put there reply to that, then quote some more, then reply to that etc. How do I do that? Makes it a lot clearer when answering multiple questions for somebody. Thank you from "the stupid one". Haha

Just push the quote button and highlight and delete the bits in the text (using the backspace button) that you dont want. Need to leave the brackets [ /] at the beginning and end though.

When you hit quote, you'll see their message in the reply box within some [.QUOTE] tag's, just edit that so it says what you want it to.

You can also copy and paste what everything they wrote including the [.QUOTE] tags to break it up.

Good on you for asking. Makes it alot easier to read when people only leave in the relevant parts in their quotes.

And you can always hit preview post to see what it'll look like before submitting.

You can also multiquote, see the button to the right of quote but before quick reply.
click that on a number of posts, then quote on your final post you're going to reply to so you can reply to a number of posts with just 1 post.
