Rubber options?

i need new rubber for my bike. well i just want it my old tyers r good but thay are shitty jap ones(came with the bike)

so whats a good sports tyer for a 250 bandit? and what would u pay.
i think it needs a service soon done 5000k puting a new exhaust on it.

the air filter is full of crap so im geting that replaced then its probly going to need jeting shit this is sounding like one hell of a 250cc service!

anyway what do u think of tyers and how fair will a good set go. 10,000k?

Bridgestone BT045 did me proud on my 250. Dual compound rear so lasts well in a straight line and sticks well on the corners.

Others will say go for Vipers. Nuffin wrong with them either.

Dunlop GPR-70(i think they're called GPR-A10's now) are the stickiest you can get for a 250 i think. i got just on 5000k on my last rear with a couple of days at the track- cost about 200 not fitted. they dont last long but fuck me are they good to ride on!!
if your after a bit more life try a GPR-100 a bit less sticky but last longer.

i dont mind paying a bit more a bit more often to have good confidence in my tyres as theyre the only thing holding my bike on the road!!

A good choice is the Dunlop GT501 Radials... dual compound front/back and they'll not only last the distance but give you a nice mix of commuting / weekend blasts.

They aren't track tyres tho - just good for those who like to mix it up without getting real serious about their corners.

gpr-a10 are the tyre to have, they are better than the gpr70's as the front actually has decent tread thickness now....

and they last longer...

i put some pirelli sport demons on the gpx.

you cant go wrong with them. they heat up nicely and man do they stick.

or you could try metzlers??? i think theyr called that. not sure if you could get them to fit but my mate has them on his bike and swears by them.

I'd go for the Pirellis myself.

The Dunlops are nice tyres but I don't like them in the wet or when they are cold. They are also a good 30% more expensive than the other tyres mentioned.

I have got Pirelli Sport Demons on mine. Great grip wet and dry. Cannot fault them at all. Cannot supply cost as I got mine for cost from my old work.

What sorta riding you doing? I can recomend the dunlop gpr-a10's and the gpr100's, both tyres stick like shit to a blanket.

Stradas are a brilliant and under rated tyre IMO. Everyone goes for the sticky Diablos, but the Stradas are a much better bet on the road.

Got dunlop sportmax qualifiers on my rs250. After 2mins of warming up they don't let go, the're sticky as!!!
M8's got the same on his zxr and loves them too.
Not much fun in the wet though.
Have a look at the pirelli corsers aswell though, i've heard lots of good things!
