Have fun shopping - it's lovely falling in love several times a day, even better when you ride for the first time and it feeeeels just right

We were all sprang, he/she/it hit the button as they were about to pass us, knowing that they could not do anything about it as the group was riding well bunched (only a good thing in this case) and I know what speed we were doing and it would have hurt

Anyway, awesome ride people (17) a good pace that seemed to suit all, who found it feeling weird with the tail wind while still in the hills... kinda erie aye ya become really intune with the engine and its somewhat quite.
But christ only a cantab would know what the nor west is like, full on aye?
Good shit meeting the new comers... see I aint such a bad c@#t after all

Was a great ride getting caught amongst traffic at the most inappropriate places was a bit of nuisance and the numbnuts all seemed to be driving Falcons but apart from that
Think a good day was had by all

Geesh hasn't that pub changed !!! just shows what 17yrs can do to a place lols! and the pies were GOOD! no roadkill to be seen anywhere but disappointed there wasn't the infamous B & E pie

The fuelling up on the return was a bit mickey mouse, and the local feathered scoundrels taking a liking to unattended helmets then proceeding to stop traffic was amusing.

About the only hick-up to the whole ride was riding through a dust storm & almost being blown off the road coming out of the Rakaia Gorge

Great to put a few faces to names

How'd Hell Boy get on getting home on that tyre?

    Here's a couple of pics

Great ride guys, thoroughly enjoyed myself. Great road conditions on the way there, a bit of grit, but not too bad, the weather played along just nicely and the tar was getting a bit soft on the way home. When you all stopped at Arthurs for fuel I carried on to the Bealey and got set up for some pics as you came through. It was nice and peaceful and relaxing and sunny lying there waiting for you all, then I head what sounded like the GP coming through the hills … ah this must be them … it sounded awesome guys. I got a couple of good shots and a load of shit ones of ya’s, so lucky you if I got you.

I was getting a bit warm the closer to home I got, and got home to discover it was 32.4 deg … ahh, that would be the cause of that then. Climbed out of the leathers and stood in front of the aircon with a cold beer – much better.

    Some pics …

A group of us were out on the same road today - in fact we saw you guys go through while we were parked up at Arthurs Pass. Looked and sounded great! Nice day for it if a little hot. It must have been a lot hotter than 32 degrees - coming down Porters was like coming into an inferno!
