    On the road again...

Sweet Jesus - where do I start?

ok - I was in the 'naki (YAY the 'naki... sweet home Alabama... sing along!)... *ahem*... staying at the inlaws and suffering quietly through Christmas as one does. Chrissy is for the kids after all... and I meet a couple of the naki bods. Without naming names (for fear of leaving any out)... there are some bloody good people there and the hospitality was awesome.

Met one or two that I know I'll be staying in touch with. Got to go riding to the boxing day races (in a car - the weather looked threatening and I have nothing to prove by "being a biker") and met a shit load of KBers down there too. Bloody awesome to watch Jimmy the Mair doing his thing. He's like Jake the Muss but not big or scary. Onya Jimmy... seriously mate I was hoopin' and hollerin' for you on the sidelines. Proud as hell man.

I felt pretty sorry for Kick and the team not being able to to race... but c'est la vie as they say in frogland. Met Shaun and some high powered acquaintenaces of his... fucken top man that one. I have a new found respect for the ginga ninja... having faced death and coming back anyway.

At one point I found meself sitting there with Mr. Harris and one other - both of whom have/had problems that made mine pale alongside them was a life/perspective affecting thing. Both of them will possibly disagree... but alongside you two - I have it SWEET! Cheers to both of you... I learned a lot just being there ...

... so now I get to Wellywood... and I sit here at Col's PC... he's nothing but a drunken bum that talks shit and laughs a lot.

We get on well...watch this space...

edit... can you imagine Col and I meeting for the first time??? It was described as two puppies first meeting - lots of tail wagging and arse sniffing (I think that's what was said). Well I still have a sore guts, but I expect Col's arse isn't sore any more.

As for the JAFA crowd - miss you and luff you long time (told you I have had a few...!)

    Two words.

    Rimutaka Hill.

edit: since you went over there today. Gini says she would have made cake if you had turned up here (especially as I was out doing the takas too so wouldn't have eaten it all) but since you were so bloody rude and never turned up she's not going to now.

But she could be bribed with a decent hug...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Consider it done - and not a Cola hug either (and nothing too sleezy)

Hi dude, sounds like you're doing it right.
If you're heading out for a ride or a dram somewhere call me eh?
Seem to remember I owe you a beer.

Good riding with you yesterday Nigel.

Looks like the rain I predicted yesterday has reared its ugly head unfortunately. It should go though. Weather's definitely a bit Taranaki-like today.

    Safe and happy travels mate.

    Part two... the journey continues.

Wellywood. Piecock, Takas and the twins!

I'm having a bloody ball down here. Day one (can I even remember day one???). A ride over the famous takas to someplace (forgive me... I know not where I went)... round some lakes at a reasonable velocity and the roads here are bloody awesome!

Tons of traffic on the takas sadly, but a great chance to practice patience and passing. Fun fun fun! Met KenDog and Mrs Kendog (you deviants you) and umm Wilbur!. Rode with Col too... and the whole time at legal speeds! (Tui anyone??)

    Luffly fun!

Parted ways ont he way home after racking up a couple of hundred k's Col has a shower and we head into town. Met Tasman! Fucken top bloke. (What's the name of his bar... it's a KB must do. Seriously. Col and I spent 3 hours on the balcony looking down the tops of passers by as they swaggled along!). Luffly... especially after a few brewskies.

Home at 1am. A good night - but not too large. I'm saving myself for New Years (Big Bro turns 40... should be fun... sadly not a KB thing)

Yesterday we're off again to rimutex (which I think sounds like a painful disease). Met Mr and Mrs.... HITCHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Riding out to the Last Straw Cafe where we stopped and chatted - again - had a great time. Met Shona the lovely waitress with a tattoo of a (very generously proportioned) witch sitting on a pumpkin... the stalk would be right up her... never mind!

Poor thing could get away from us so Col and I taunted her mercilessly.

Might pick up her on New Years and take her for a ride on the bike... might not but it's easily doable I'm sure!

Back into another part of town... met my OTHER twin ... RIFFER! About bloody time too. Ride off to the top of piecock hill and back - again at legal speeds (another Tui?). Fun fun fun. 3 RFs in convoys (Me, Riff and Cola). So there's about 28 ton of suzuki's finest thundering along like our own private bikey gang.

... and now today starts over. God only knows what maybe befalls us but... I find out soon probbaly!

O so you're up? How's the stinger? You're not going to slope off and molest Shona without me are you? Mind you, there's a couple there (pun) that are worth molesting... I mean, spending 'quality' time with...
