Haven't done the Coro Loop before so not 100% sure how long it will take all up and whether there is enough days left in 2008 to accomodate a GIJoe pootle.

Maybe a meet up at 7am at BP Autobahn Papakura?
Farken hell..... thats when the sparrow's wake up........ !

Not forgetting you and I are from Westieland and have to travel a time to get to BP Autobahn.... (like 46kms for me)

    Any excuse for a ride!
Bro you own Kuwait or something ?

$30 a fill on a GPX and getting only 330km down the road is not good for a oil strapped Whitey. Damn you Arabs.

Arrg, looks like a bit of me, mind you, I just came back from West Auckland yesterday after a great xmas, and was considering going back for new years (Had to come back since I work weekends)

But maybe I'll ditch that idea and come for a bit of a pootle. Would be good to give my new camera a bit of a workout.

Could we try someplace other than squids in Whitianga for lunch this time.

Mate passed At least now he is fully insured on his GSX-R after nearly 10 years on a learners license

Only got his restricted 6 months ago because I booked it for him without telling him

Follow SH1 to Papakura, take the BP Autobahn turnoff halfway between Papakura and Drury and look for the bikes parked outside McD's

Or all the non-Hyo riders filling up at the BP

a 6am start is much better, that way you can do the figure eight coro loop, Kaimais up to Te Aroha and Paeroa and then through Kaiua and around the Hunuas!

How about 6.30am meet and leave at 7am?

Just another thing this will not be a break neck, knee sliding run. It will be speed limit + a wee bit. Don't want any accidents or tickets on my watch

How long you reckon it will take to get from the North Shore to Papakura?

I've been in Auckland for all of three weeks now.

Would allow for 30 minutes. From the end of the NW Motorway to Takanini is about 30 minutes and it is about the same distance as Albany to Takanini riding at the speed limit

What part of NZ are you from Hubba? Why on earth would you come to Auckland, except for the lane splitting

[QUOTE=Fub@r;1358794]I haven't riden my bike in over a week with Xmas and the wife cracking the whip getting me to do landscaping.

She`s a monster , or maybe you go on a motorcycling survey(not a ride) and survey other gardens , say around the Coromandle , doesn`t everybody win?

I'm a land surveyor so it's quite a plausible excuse

Welly. They pretty much doubled my salary. I couldn't refuse, plus the missus landed her dream job here too. Almost like it was meant to be.

Then again, if it was meant to be, I would know some back roads by now.

If you want to learn every back road in the north island just give GIJoe a yell.

Might take you 10x as long to get to your destination but its always enjoyable. Last GIjoe ride resulted in Joe doing a handstand in a rubbsih bin and kung-fu'ing a giant weta in Te Kuiti
