    Flame's Taupo RR report...

Havn't done one of these for a while so will keep it breif.

PRACTICE DAY.. had a blast, bike felt wicked! qualified on the front row...somehow lol.

RACE EVE... had a blast, drank far too much bourbons after thinking I was ready for sleep at 9pm! good on everyone that entertained me, Sean (Skelstar) is a hoot after 15 bourbons, Affmans snickers was a great bourbon chaser, Scratcha's accent become even more like backround noise! and Poo's ya smelt like a dump truck!!

RACE DAY...had a blast, finished 5th in my class I think. Had wicked fun in the wet on racetec's and was STOKED to beat the lovely yellow 999s once the wet stuff happened Couldn't keep up with the Yamaboys on the R1's but had loads of fun trying to chase a GSXR1100 after he passed me. And not to mention that dam Triumph! mate....what a legend! how do ya do it!!! lol

CONCLUSION...Total AWESOME two days. The love affair with my Duc has grown even more Decided Im definately ready to start pushing myself, as even in the wet I never got close to having a moment! The bike is fantastic and is teaching me so much. My confidence is streaming ahead.....now I just gotta get some pace going so I can chase that Drew fella .

HUGE THANKS to the Scrivy and the organizers of such a fantastic event,to Drew (you raced like a demon babe!!) for your fantastic support and help, my friends and sponsors Kerry KTL bikes...your a legend!!!!, Rob and Cherry Taylor(wish you could have been there), Anglo American Motorcycle club, the great mates I had sharing the pits with us (and the bourbons), mr GSXR1100 for coming and finding me and giving me some encouraging words, Sanx for the coffees and pics, Drews dad for lunch and chocky bickies, and all the awesome friends that supported me in every way, there are so many of you that help make racing so enjoyable .

More background noise....but your weekend went way better than mine....sigh. Thursday night on the bevvy was the highlight for me. Buggered off after race 2 as the misfiring 748 was just unrideable in the wet. Hopefully be dicing with ya again once it's all sorted.

You could prbably rinse her out of your eye with a few litres of saline.

Nice stuff Mrs Drew, though I'm a bit dubious about you now that I've found out you let scracha hang about.

What, a crack at racing or a crack at too many bourbons?

    Flame, nice one 5th overall.
    Cheers

It was an awesome day all rounnd. Thought you rode really well. Good on you.
Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever
