    Question where is Waipukurau

does anyone know where the above metioned place is?
im supposed to be riding down there and i have a sneak suspicion that it is a really long way away, so does anyone know any good roads on the way that will make it more fun?
    cheers

Waipukurau is the rural service town for the district of hawkes bay and just eight kilometres northeast is Waipawa.

Hmm, what are you doing in ypuk? :sly: if you want to get there in less than 6hrs then you'll want to stick to the main roads, taupo-napier is ok, you could take Hwy50 from napier for a bit of backtracking but once you make it to Ypuk there are lots of good roads, ask around for how to get to Kirakau, Porongahau, back roads to Takapau. There's heaps of nice twisty empty roads right on the back doorstep. but don't cause any trouble townie or I'll get tha boyz onto ya.

how long are you gonna be there for?

that sounds like going through Hunua, Kopu, Hikuai, Whangamata, Waihi, back inland to Paeora and through Kaimais down to Tauranga?
And then off south to Whakatane and through the nice gorge to Opotiki?
    and then I'm lost......
