    It's a spam-bot.

Scourge of the internet. Randomly sign up to forums in the vague hope that someone will click on their posted links, or the ones in their profiles.

Is there an innoculation? Pretty pictures of numbers etc?

Do the local admins cull them?

On a few other forums I post on they are pretty rampant, up to 30 messages a day getting through. They usually get deleted. Dunno if it happens with the mods here, it's the first one i've seen in my short time here.

One way around it is to install a random 4 digit code picture that you have to punch in when you sign up. Apparently the auto account-creators can't read it, and don't get access to post the spam. Seems to work to some degree.

Then again, as long as guys are worried about the size of their cocks, we're gonna be inundated by spam.

Apparently one of the goodies in the new version of vB that's on the way (no, not that godawful programming language, I mean the software that runs the forum) is some sort of anti-spam technology.

Haven't found it to be a problem on this site.

EDIT: But what a brilliant piece of non-sequitur; once I realised what thread the post was attached to, I pissed myself at the response... `Thanks for this valuable thread!'

Maybe learning about Maori eggs is useful for a Canadian?
