Very last race of the season and he was contracted to that factory. Different scenario.

www.mcnews.com.au should really do a bit of research before posting that thread up, its a hoax printed in a Spanish paper for a bit of a laugh! Aint going to happen, folks .....

This story was originally posted on the Spanish website DailyMotos.com on December 28th, also known in Spain as "el Dia de los Santos Innocentes", the Day of the Innocent Saints. On this day, it is usual for Spaniards to play tricks on each other, and for the media to try and pass off fake stories as news, as a joke. In other words, this story looks like being the Spanish version of April Fools...

Sportsmanship in professional sport is a romantic fallacy. Professional sportsmen are paid to win. Sportsmanship is for school yards and social leagues.

fast but not realistic - multiply that across 21 laps or so - that's over a minute off the pace.
He was using the 'wet' discs, not the carbon ones that they use in dry conditions so he wasnt getting full braking potential out of the bike. This would mean he could almost half that 5 second gap with the proper brake setup and a bit more practice - that would have him 2.5s off the LAP RECORD set by Dani Pedrosa which is what his time was reported as - that in my books is fast enough to beat a fair bit of the motoGP field from last year, he wouldnt be winning but he'd be in there earning points.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

What a load of total rubbish this thread is.....

There is no way on the planet that it would EVER happen....it was a wind up and i can't believe someone was daft enough to believe it and post it here in seriousness.................

Yes he rode the bike but these days 5 secs at a track like that in question is quite a margin.

Its an accepted fact that the German cheated his way to the F1 title the year he drove Hill off the track. Numerous programs have commented on it and the on board and trackside footage shows Schumacher look to the side, see Hill and then turn the steering sharply towards Hill's car causing the collision that ended Hills chances and gave Schumacher the title.
The older i get the faster i used to be.......

    Every dog

Has his day and his come-upance (can't spell). At the end of the day if he qualifies then he should be allowed to ride, if not then no. The minute he knocks anothe rider off then it ia fair game and he will probably end up with a black eye!!

Let's give him a chance and then judge him, his riding and behaviour.

We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have you found? The same old fears.
    Wish you were here. QWQ

Bollocks, he was 5 seconds (allegedly ) off the pace, he wouldn't have been going fast enough to be able to generate enough heat in the carbon brakes, hence he would have been slower with the carbons, not 2.5 seconds faster!

Well that's disappointing. Would've loved to have seen that.

Bet Damon Hill is behind it somehow

I think the fact he'd be on a bike and could hurt would stop that happening

No different than Prost or Senna

Ahhh, I remember when Aryton had his crash. The day after the reports and quotes came thick and fast, 'greatest driver ever', 'a true hero', 'a gentleman' etc etc etc. Yet the day before he was public enemy number one.

    People suck.
