    What an awesome ride!!

Woke up this morning and the weather was crap. Had aranged to go for a ride with another newbie and was tempted to stay in bed and cancel. Plus there was the usual washing, housework etc that I knew I should have been doing.

So hauled my butt out of bed and went down to work (where we were meeting) in Henderson. Got away about 10.30am and weather was still over cast and not nice at this point.

Rode over upper harbour bridge and through the old albany highway then up through silverdale and stopped in Orewa. By this time the sun was shinning.
After a bite to eat and a coffee it was back down to dairy flat, through Kaukapakapa to helensville then down statehighway 16 and the norwestern motorway. Then off at lincoin rd back to work.

All up we did about 80km. Not bad for 2 newbies!!

    Well done young lassie!
it was good to meet you at Noel's.
Sorry we didn't make it out to Mangawhai. I'm afraid Mom is a terrible hostess and provides wine and conviviality until well into the wee small hours...I'm too old for that many late nights followed by hard days....

If my nose was running money, I'd blow it all on you...

Can't agree more. Family all away this weekend and on my lonesome in Auckland. Spent the day on my bike hauling ass to Newmarket for a Mexican lunch, then Greenlane for coffee and out east to feed the cat. If it weren't for my bike it would have been a boring day. Never would have done that in a cage. Bikes can put a grin on your face like nothing else outside the bedroom.
There are no strangers in Kiwi Biker, only friends I haven't yet met.

    Onya. Keep it up.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

What a neat day good on you both.
Thats what happens when you dont judge a day by it's weather.
