So who has tried it or has one? Saw something about blokarting on tv the other day and it looked damn cool. Any idea how much they cost?

Seen them down in the local carpark Papakura way, they look like fun ... but then I have a bike!
I wouldn't mind taking one for a spin down ninety mile beach however!
Big Boys toys last year had a stall adverting them ... not much change from $5K!![]()

Theres a place near tauranga that hires them out I think, saw it when I went past. Looks like fun.
Never let your enemy see your emotions, for it is the one weapon they will value most.
tried one on muriwai a few years ago, was fairly easy to get the hang of the controls, costs about 4-6 grand depending on rigs etc
Despite the price, they're selling well. I saw a doco recently where they were being used on some salt lake somewhere else in the world (Mrka? Afreaker? The Moon?)
When did land sailing get this fancy schmancy name "Blokarting".
Land Sailing has been around since the dawn of time, my dad used to take us to see it in the 70's.
Google "kite buggy's". Way more fun than Blokarts, (although Blocarts are much easier for kids/families to learn). Kite Works in Akld have a couple of local Hardcore lads there. www.kiteworks.co.nz
Bit of a gun at it myself.
80kmh sideways in a 30knt wind.![]()
Forlongs in Hamilton have one in their store at $3,500grand. We would need one each so there goes $7k, plus I guess there would be add on's, then there is the transport to get them to some usable space. They do look like a lot of fun though and I would love to try one, would have a couple in the garage if we had a lazy $7k lying around, but there seems to be no end to what we what to do biking wise at this stage.
I have a big trick Kite I love to fly, had it for over 10 years now and was brought in from Germany before the sport got popular. This thing can pick a person up 20 feet in the air then dump you, so takes a little skill to fly it. Great work out too. Too many choices of toys, not enough money is usually the case.

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?
Got mine a year ago. Brilliant fun. Helps if you've done a little sailing, which I haven't, but is relatively easy to pick up. Lots of fun in a big wind but pretty safe. I had a misunderstanding with a sign post last summer. Hit it hard enough to snap my mast in two but did suffer any injuries other than to my pride.
Paid $3600 for mine with a 4 mtr sail. Keep an eye on trademe. There's always a couple for sale on there.
they are awesome fun... you can hire them out at muriwai beach from the surf rentals guys.
easy to learn, and you can pretty quick in the right setup.
It's awesome fun whizzing past people at 30-50kmh without them knowing you were coming up behind them.
