Accommodation during Hamilton v8s

Has anyone here had any experience with renting a house to visitors to the Waikato during the v8s?
Any useful tips gratefully accepted before we put our place up for rent.

one of the years we had V8s in Puke, we rented a room out via local travel agent, I think from memory they had put an ad in local paper, it was all very formal, the agent actually came to our house checked the room/us out, and asked what else we would offer, ie food, transport etc, paid good $$, I think we got paid by the travel agent, who then would add a fee and charged the couple who stayed with us.. money was good, guest was ok ( for an auzzie)

would have done it again if we had not lost the event, I am sure if you put an add up you would have no problem renting your place out, I guess maybe trademe or some sort of homo v8 car magazine would be a good place for your add, will ask my Mrs later and pm you any other infomation that she can recall.
