Heine Gericke 'Travel' four season jacket

Year round riding needs kit that can cope with a wide variety of conditions.

Temperatures can vary from well below zero to over 30 degrees Celsius - a range of easily 40 degrees. Then there is rain, hail, snow and sleet. Not to mention wind. And the need to be visible. And, of course, being the UK, these conditions can change within moments. Anything else? Well it needs to be comfortable, both for short trips as well as crossing the country.

So how can anyone expect a jacket to handle all of this? Well Hein Gericke has had a damned good stab at this with their new 'Travel' jacket.

I really rate this jacket, aside from the zip quality.

I've had (and abused) a Heine Gericke jacket for about 4 years now.
It has well and truly surpassed my expectations from a jacket.

If you can get hold of one then do so, they are the best...

Shame you can't but them in wellington

    Sorry Bob.

It has been said:You can have a "magnificent" horse but if has bad feet, you haven't really got a horse at all!

You have simply got a magnificent pile of dog tucker.

I feel the same theory applies to motorcycle gear with bad zips! John.

We tread the icy path slowly and cautiously for fear of tripping and falling.
Then turn abruptly, slip, crash on the ground and rising hasten on across the ice lest it cracks up.
We feel the chill north winds course through the home despite the locked and bolted doors.
this is winter, which nonetheless brings its own delights.
