Good for you. Glad that you are where you are, I am just a few years behind and being 36/37 sounds even better than being 34!!

As a 36 year old (until Friday, turn 37 - nearing 40 - which might be a really good thing if mom is right!) I can definitely agree with trump-lady. I think about sex a lot more now than I ever used to. Differently to her though, I don't eye up 25 year-old hard bodies and fantasize, I just (as has been pointed out to me) treat the entire day as foreplay - foreplay with my partner, or thinking about my partner. I've been this way for the last six years - it was like a switch was turned on when I turned 30 - I was in a dead marriage but when it ended two years later whoa baby! For me it was also about confidence, achieving at a high level career-wise, earning decent money (shame that has an influence, but independence can't be underrated) and knowing I can hold my own in a demanding profession. These things have been historically, predominantly, a male preserve - maybe it's because we women are now experiencing the power and confidence that was solely mens, that we are experiencing the horniness that goes along with it! I know we're up there with the heart disease and stress related health issues too...... but sex is good stress relief. Sex, good red wine, and good dark chocolate. I'm gonna live forever!

If it isn't then you are doing it wrong!! Sex is the most natural thing in the world and with the right person in the right relationship it is pure bliss. But sex should never be used as a weapon and men as much as women do use it to get what they want.

Out of curiosity, when did sex become such a big deal?

Ladies you've hit it on the head with one word "confidence".

When younger it's is my bum fat,will my pimples go away by weekend.

Then after a couple of kids,useless husband/partner,the penny drops when you piss off,then start to enjoy the later start in life(30-40).

It's easy to get out of a marriage than say 30 years ago,no stigma,hence more confidence in yourself,can bet most 80 yr old nanas would agree sort of about thinking about sex as they got to 40,just they were not supposed to say it lol.

Had a one nighter with a friend (brother's girlfriend),(only thing was I felt robbed lol) she said you ready for bed,pretty well to the point.She was about 31-32 me 38,she had seperated from her partner about 4 months prior,her attitude was if we need it,why can't we get it.She was secure in her thinking,that she wanted sex,thought about sex like most guys did.
