    yep, been sailing since I was very young, opti's, P's, Starling and then Fins. Fins are the shit IMO, not as quick as a cat but the best one man there is, fly on a reach !
    moved on to racing Young 11 in Wellington and that was fun as well.

    Sailors are dodgy buggers. Mind you the ships I sailed in are all rusting at the bottom of the ocean now.

    (I still have my uniform..................... )

    Uniforms

    Never got to see a KB sailor in his little uniform as he was too shy!!

    I used to be able to fit an Optimus - just. Did my first certificate in that then went to do the next one in the P class. All I could do was go in a straight line across the river til I crashed into the other bank. Got out turned it round and went straight back. He said "That's enough for me" and I went on to sail a Hobie til I got the Moth.
