How big run up do ya get??

You see the side bar picture on the Cliffhanger website? The run up is a bit further than that. If you haven't hit top speed on ANY bike by the time you hit the start of the 1/4 mile run it's because you fell asleep.

Run what ya brung, just turn up and pay money.

MNZ rules state what ya have to be wearing but can't remember off top of my head. You must wear a back protector, there will be some for hire on the day but they are limited in numbers.

What's the road itself like? I've got horrible visions in my head of trying to do 300 clicks on some Wairarapa goat track over bumps and rocks and possum entrails . . .

No dramas. It's as good as you get in NZ these days, if a little narrow.

Should I leave the 'prilia at home and give it a go on the CR? Top speed on the CR is about what the RSVR'll do in 1st . . . I got no problems doing that over the odd bit of road kill
