Between 7 & 10 runs depending on course stoppages for locals to use the course and any technical issues that may arise with timing gear or fainting Marshals.

Keen to run the old GSX down the strip... Is it 7-10 runs for top speed attempt then 7-10 runs for 1/4 mile?

Im a little concerned that in the top speed attempt the GSX wont be able to pull out 5th gear as I've gone up one tooth on the front, so want a few attempts to try different strategies! Haha.

Also... What time should someone participating in the event be there?

Number of runs depends, If heaps of people turn up you will generally get less.
Most people go home before all the runs are done tho and leave more strip time to those who want to hang around in the hot sun.
the organisers do thier best to fit in as many runs as they can.
I have never left wanting more!
