You don't quite get the right-wing ideals of 'small government' and 'personal freedom', do you?

    Legislation is for socialists.

    Right wing

You are talking to someone who from the age of 14 campaigned for the Tory party, worked for a client who was ex Home Office Minister for Thatch and Major so I think I have some idea about right-wing ideals. But as much as I believe in the evolution of the species, you have to have some legislation for the bloody stupid lefties!!

A friend of mine is on the ACT party list, and she doesn't know anything about right-wing ideals. Telling people to vote for a particular political party does not imply any understanding of economics or sociology.

Anyway, dog control has nothing to do with the overworked one-dimensional political spectrum.

    Client

i was an elected official at one point and was all for cutting costs for the electorate but without scrimping on services. There are so many ways you can cut out waste spending!!

As for the client I didn't mean it in the way I think you mean it. I had my own political consultancy business and he was a client. Believe me the stories I could tell you would just confirm what you probably already think of politicians and is part of the reason I got out of politics!!

But quoting myself to clarify here...

Left wing, right wing, who give a fuck. If a dog gets in your way run it over.
If It doesn't and It's a close call that may have seen you dead, go and do somthing you enjoy because you can - you are still alive.

Whinging won't fix alot, it just eventually leads to more and more rules that dont do shit all because dogs are dogs and microchipped or not they will always wan't to sniff piss.

    Piss

yes dogs will always want to sniff piss but being able to hold a dog owner responsible is at least something.

I agree make the most of the life you have and enjoy it whilst you can as it is always too short!!

My point exactly, Putting more regs in doesn't increase the level of personal responsibility that people exercise.

A phenomonen demonstrated by the abortion known as the anit-smacking bill - Making it illegal for normal parents to exercise a reasonable amount of physical force on their children will not stop those who bash kiddies because that was already illegal and wrong anyway!

So I guess we arrive at the point where if I fall of from hitting a dog I only have myself to blame.

If you fall off from hitting a dog we shall have onother whinge thread
