    Skaters

I am going to defend skaters too. Why shouldn't they be allowed to practice tricks whereever they can find rails etc. At the end of the day if they are keeping themselves occupied perfecting thier art at least they aint out mugging old grannies!!

But even that 2%, or 5%, or 7% (if it becomes more trendy and a must do) has a greater impression and impact in the eyes of the public that witness such riding and will remember and associate with motorcycle riders. All the others riding more sensibly don't cause such a blip on the radar.

Actually I encourage Kev to ride responsibly to 'the spot' but then he is 17...

You're making a far greater deal out of this than actually exists.

I totally encourage safe riding on the road, and in the public eye, i dont condone being a fucking nanna and bagging on people who are doing what they enjoy in a place that is private as they can currently find.

Why not be proactive and try to find them a spot to do their thing out of the public eye?

are you trying to call us retards that dont know throttle control?
you may just find that at one stage or another some of us even held/hold race licences/ holy fuck even raced!

or saying that other people will be silly enough to highside because a video was put up on the innernet with some wheelies on?

    i think your mistaken.
must be the same thing that made you pick matching bike/gear.

Except that no extreme sport belongs to be played on public roads. If the law cottons on to it, they could come down so hard.

Then we would see a bunch of cry-baby wankers on KB pissing and moaning about being suppressed and the "stupid fucking cops" and on and on and on... dumb fucks they are.

Above all else this is a stunt forum. Are you also going into the racing forum and telling people not to get their knee down or exceed 100km/hr on the track? What about the Street races or Hillclimbs? Are you suggesting that after the Boxing day racing seeing bikes running round a road circuit at 200km/hr that every biker aspires to doing 200km/hr in the middle of Wanganui? What about the dirt forum? You going over there to have a go at some guys Rooster tailing because it leaves a bad impression and the up and coming riders might want to repeat what they see on a public park?

One shows some guys explicitly showing off on the motorway, the other shows two guys practicing their sport so they can perform at sanctioned events.

I don't deny that some won't show off in front of others... isnt that what you see at air shows... pilots showing off their skills. The only difference is dan and kevmo aren't currently practicing in a legal environment, but it's still the safest place they've found yet.
You also left out they had spotters for traffic with the wheelie over the crest.

If you are doing this in specially arranged closed areas and events, then fine, I could not care less.

    There is a big difference.
Specifically arranging closed areas is alot of red tape due to those who believe that stunting is inherrintely bad and certain death. Much much easier to arrange a group of guys to watch out and find a seldom used backstreet that is wide enough for things to go a little haywire and smooth enough to stunt on.

So what did happen to personal responibility? Did he leave with common sense and lock the door on the way out? Stunting has always been cool. There are riders who simply think it is cool but dont want to do it for various reasons including not breaking their bikes/bones and there are riders who think its cool and want to give it a go. At the end of the day you cant afford to stunt a bike you cant afford to drop, same goes for racing.

And then there are those who simply dont like stunting and want everyone to ride round at the legal speed limit nice and safe. In their spare time they are known to surf stunt forums and talk shit about how bad stunting is.

oh, and while I am at it.

What you are saying is that one shouldn't stunt on any public roads because if they do then the law will clamp down and they will not be able to stunt on public roads?
So if they dont stunt on public roads then the law will not clamp down on it and they will be allowed to stunt on public roads?

Do you read what you type or do you just make shit up as you go along?

No, I was saying that is the only difference between those two videos.

So? And I haven't? You think that because I'm not impressed with your "amazing stuntting skills" that I can't ride a bike? You equate your circus tricks with road riding skills?
