Good Bike Suzi, I had a GSX750F same model as your one, damn good bike, very under rated. I did alot of touring with Mrs Evil and it was a perfect two up bike.
Hope its all good for you

First bike....Blimey! Dont think I can remember that far back.... ummmmm
Im almost ashamed to admit it...
Honda 50 C100 ... my parents bought it for me when I was 16.

    Heres the progression to date:

    Honda CD175
Honda CB360 (written off by Doris Frimmond - blind cager - in about 1969)
Honda CB350 (replacement for the above)
Honda CB500 (cam chain tensioner broke and guide sprocket chewed its way through the cylinder head)
Honda CB750 K7 (fine in the dry...wouldnt run in the wet!) Got rid in frustration
Kawasaki Z650 (Bliss, compared to thev above)
Kawasaki Z650 Custom (posers version of above)
Kawasaki Z1000MK2 (At last! serious motorycling

Break here: Discovered women, sex, marriage, and kids!

Kawasaki Zephyr 750 (bought as a company vehicle...yeah right!)
Kawasaki Zephyr 1100 (much better for touring Europe)
Kawasaki ZX9 B1 (My first sportsbike! Yiks! Loved it to death cos I didnt know any better)
Kawasaki ZX9 B4 (Just wanted the latest model...bit lardy still, though)
Kawasaki ZX9R C2 (My dealer told me that for an extra quid a month I could have this bike. How could I refuse)

And next...? Dear Santa, I'd like a ZX10 please...

    CB100

Bright bloody yellow, my Dad spent $700 on the top end to get it going (yes... that's nearly a grand) and then the bottom end needed work...!

    YEESH

Horrid little thing but I was dead keen to get it going and have a bike of my own.

I have to say it was nice to have Dad's backing on it. I guess I owe him for that!

    Since then
    TS 185 ER
    GPZ 550
    RF900

... I guess if that trend continues my next bike will be a 1200?

Holey cow I think I'd end up with too many letters if I list all the bikes Ive owned.
My first taste of motorbikes was dads Beezer bantum. but able to actually ride hmmm
My family owned a pub in thames with a HUUGE back paddock
One drunken fisherman used to ride a delapidated C50 from his fishing boat moored at the wharf to the pub and back ---untill one day he got so pissed he rode from the pub -down the plank to his boat--then straight over the side into the muddy water. -He forgot his boat was in dry dock
Anyhooo--He told me if I could haul the bike outa the 2.0m of muddy stinking water and slime I could have it --I did and that was my first bike -i ws 8 years old

Agreed entirely. I'd be interested to take a newer one for a blast to see how they compare. Mines a '94 with 47ks on it abd it goes like it's new.

    Lots of fun!

I still have fond memories of my C50 - It was a road bike, a trail bike, a long distance tourer, a MX bike cripes it was the best all rounder I had at the time... Hang on it was the only bike I had at the time.... Rode it 5 times from auckland to dargaville and out to Pouto. 70KMH max with a tail wind down hill! Cool.
I'd be cruising along the open road wondering what those white lines would look like at 120kmh. Had a good race one night with a road services bus (the old dungy ones they had in the 80's) I'd get him on the uphills and he'd blow by me on the down hills on the straights out of dargaville..... Wow I was cool when I was 15...
