    Fibreglass rollers

Anyone know where to buy these in Christchurch? The ones I have from Nuplex are ok, except for the small ones which are essentially trash.

Yeah me to, they're friendly and very free and easy with advice

The handle on the small roller is fine, but the threaded turning portion is all drilled off centre, might just make a new roller on the lathe and be done with it

If anyone in Christchurch is considering having a go at fibreglass stuff, might be some good money saved if we go in together, e.g.
    1L VER $67 - $67 per litre
    4L VER $105 - $26.25 per litre
    20L VER $205 - $10.25 per litre

When the heck would I use 20L on my bikes??! Big difference in $ per litres though!!!

A bit of topic i know, but does anyone know of some one that can vacuum mould Carbon?? Perhaps a contact in the aeronatical industry. i think they have a vacuum machine in Belnhiem for aero parts (eagle air perhaps..??..).
Anyways, anyone know someone in the businees, i'd be keen to chat and ask one or two questions.

    Cheers
    Eric

Yes, I can do that for you, the vacuum pump isn't the cheapest, but the bagging materials themselves are typically 3-5 dollars a metre. You'll also need some sealing tape (cheap enough) and a breech unit (although you can do without so I hear, but I'm all about buying tools to make my life easier). I've even vac bagged fibreglass moulds (cheapest way to experiment).

You're more than welcome to talk about it in this thread, but you might be better off starting another thread with vacuum bagging as the title, as it'll be easier for members to find in later days. Alternatively, next time you're in Christchurch, drop in for a beer and I'll show you my setup.
