Dude the vincent is the best rally nz has to offer (i feel any way). No intrest in staying in a tent, get pissed and stay awake there will be sombody to talk to. No point in turning up saturday morn and going home in the evening you might as well just go for a ride. But to answer you q then yes you could do that but the cool stuff happens at night.

I would be able to get one night away in terms of work and home commitments. Which one would be the best - Friday or Saturday?

They have band and all the stalls open on both nights.... I usually prefer the Friday night at the Vincent not so crowded, and last year friday was awesome nioght.... however all the action is usually on the Saturday afternoon evening, night, till early hours in the morning.

Nothing unusual in rocking up for the day, in fact quite a few do, but expect to pay to get in.

That's nice, my bike might not look so grey by the time I get to the site!!

I could see last year they were getting ready to seal it, glad they have.

Hey dude, well we , we, we say quite a lot, we, we even more then we , its fab fun mateypoos, I've made loads of friends there, and have perfected the art of comprehensive talking bollocks to a fine art.

You should dismount your stead sometime, trying sleeping in a tent, its a laugh.......

I actually cant believe, you said whats this with rallies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and BTW, I am definate for this rally grabbing an hour off work and zooming on over to the Vincentio, got some mates coming from Queenstown with a trailer, so the tents will be thrown on, and we can ride naked.........in a manner of speaking!!!!

    Coi for now

After reading Woodybees post I gotta agree - get a self inflating matress and a down-filled sleeping back and get to a rally ya big jessie.

Once you've been to one you'll be hooked - and you meet the nicest people there too!
