    Angry thieving little bastards

    I got burgled

Went to my girlfriends last night at 9 and was going to work at 01:00 but decided to stop off home first. I must have disturbed the prick in the act because one of his booty bags was still on the floor with some DVDs in it.
He got my PS2, games, slug pistol and about 20 of my DVDs.

    He took all my porn
He obviously didn't have time to take everything he wanted, but what worries me is that he now knows there's more good stuff to nick.

Man that sucks, go buy a big dog or booby trap the remaining gear with a bomb or something.

Its unlikely he will come back though, if you disturbed him he will be nervous about your unpredicatable pad.

at least he didnt nick the KB server, or is that somewhere else?

The server is in Texas. Too many gun nutters there to risk house breaking.

I think this may be a good time to sit in the closet with a baseball bat and see if the f@#kwit returns
Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...

    Sorry to hear that, SpankMe.
I've been there too. (Not in your house - on the receiving end of burglars).

The worst thing is the feeling of being violated, and knowing some arsehole has been in your house rifling around, stealing your things, and generally behaving in an entirely different way to how you would. Bet they'd change their ways if they were on the receiving end a few times...

Our current house is well protected with a good burlgar alarm (rings my cellphone), and we have a very nosey neighbour and good neighbourhod watch.
Doesn't help though when the kids leave the house unlocked, alarm off, and the garage door wide open! Luckily, the one time this happened, nothing got whipped. It'd piss me off big time to have to replace all my power tools.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I guess if the pr0n he nicked was dodgy enough he'd probably be feeling quite nervous right now

Sounds like it's about time to start getting quotes on an alarm system. We haven't been troubled since we got one fitted.

Sorry to hear about the burglery. The only thing that I can recomend to get ride of the arseholes 'presence' is a good can of atiseptic air freshner. Think of it as a ritual cleansing of your home. I had some bonsai stolen a few years back and could not remove the thief's contamination from my nursery. Was told to ritualy cleanse it. I used some outdoor incense. I know this sounds silly but the act of removing their contamination does help. A little prayer to your god asking that his manhood cease to function just might be appropiate too.

If SpankMe decides to do a stint in his closet, I don't think it'll be a baseball bat he'll be holding.

And, SpankMe, that really sucks, dude, my sympathies. Burn the buggers. Burn them all.

Those slug pistols aren't cheap, either, are they? Might be a good idea to keep the replacement in the gun safe.

Still, you'll have a bit of fun filling out the DVD titles on your insurance claim form

It would be interesting to find out how many on this forum HAVEN'T been burgled.

Like many, I waited until after it happened before installing an alarm. But I think a big, loud dog is also a good investment.

The comparatively low priority which the police seem to place on reducing this type of crime causes resentment among those who have suffered not just the loss of valuable and sometimes irreplaceable items, but also the sense of violation and subsequent anxiety and loss of enjoyment of life...
