Spank, sorry to hear about the theft. I must be one of the forutnate ones in that I've not suffered a break in and theft. Came close about 18 years ago when someone tried but couldn't get in. Shortly after I got a dog, and no problems since then.....but alas the last dog died before we left NZ (aged 17). Dogs are great, cos a burglar doesn't even want a small bite and they don't know what a dog will do.....and that's apart from the barking when they try to get in.

    Bummer mate,sorry to hear this.
The pricks need boiling in oil.
I got ripped off today as well, not to your extent but ripped off all the same.
The real pity is somebody else will probably get it worse now.
I left my car ignition kit on the back of me truck while I went into a shop. Was only gone a minite and some scab nicked it.
Now some bugger will have their car or way worse, their bike stolen,an it will be my kit that's used to do it.
Plus I got'a lay out another $70 to replace it

Bad juju Spank. I hope he returns and you catch him in the act, beat crap out of the c**t, and shackle him to your garage floor so you can have some entertainment when visited by KB members. i.e. Beat fuck out of the broken ass type scenario.

    Jeez I hate thieves.

Lets hope Highway Patrol gave him a jolly good ticketing.

Used to work with a guy who went home one lunch time to find that his house had been done over....he was gutted.
2 weeks later he went home for lunch and found 2 young bastards ransacking the place....when the cops turned up they found the burglars sitting on the front lawn looking a little ruffed up whilst being stood over by him.
One of the cops noticed that all the glass in the front door was broken (standard 4 panel glass door) but none of the glass was on the inside as you would expect but all over the steps.
The policeman asked what had happened, the guy answered.....They broke into my house and I was just trying to help them break out.
No charges were laid. No more burglaries.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy

He got my PS2, games, slug pistol and about 20 of my DVDs.

    He took all my porn
He obviously didn't have time to take everything he wanted, but what worries me is that he now knows there's more good stuff to nick.

The guy that nicked off with some of my flatmates stuff just got caught.
Not only is my flatie getting back his stereo, he's getting money aswell for damages....maybe the same will happen for you.

my view is that all thievin motherfuckers should have the shit kicked out of them in public

14 years ago, my brother and I shared a house (in Aus) when we were run through by 9 maoris from ashtons circus.. I'd only been back in aus for 6 months after living here for 6 years and didnt remember the emergency number... (000 if anyone needs it).. .a guy my brother had previously sold "tinnies" to brought them around when they met him at the pub and asked to score... they came in thru the front and back simultaneously....I was watching a marilyn monroe special and my brother was in bed.. 1am on a monday morning... brother jumed off his bed and hit one in the head with a baseball bat... the guy just shook his head and took it off himm... wish they didnt have that bat!...they ripped the phones to bits..."wheres ya money and ya drugs cunt"... "we have none" SMACK ...pretty much beat the shit out of us for an hour and a half. they told us we were gunna watch the guy that brought them around "DIE"... scarey blokes with kitchen knives you tend to believe...they made us drop our jeans to our ankles and squat on the floor so we couldn't run...they caught a cab back to the showgrounds to grab spare parts for their car and the cab driver didnt notice the smashed doors and windows...(WTF??) after saying "bet ya thought this only happenend in the movies" about 15 times, they asked about the car in the driveway.."whos car?"..me: "there isnt one" SMACK...bat in the head...that went on for about ten minutes before i said "dunno" (my fairlane was at a mates getting a new diff, there was no car in the drive) after 2 hours they left... takin my bass (american BC Rich Warlock), a rented TV that they smashed, and various other shit.... the left the stereo untouched coz "we like music"...... we bolted
next day went around to find a kitchen knife embedded into the wall up to the hilt... in a stud!
slept with a screwdriver under my pillow for a while after that... and glad we didnt find them with the handgun we bought...(then I started to go off the rails for a few years, but thats another story)
all thieves need something done to them

Yep, we're getting far too soft on crims. Violent offenders should get a violent punishment and it should be open and public. How can a punishment be a deterrent when it is hidden behind closed doors?

Jail time is not a deterrent for these people. It’s just looked upon as a drawback of the job. And what is jail time. A loss of freedom, yes, but do they do anything but lie around getting wasted? Jail time should be HARD time. The work doesn’t even need to have a point, so long as it is difficult and long. 12-16 hour work days, every day.

I too got burgled twice - about a year ago. First time the bastard only came into our garage - there was nothing there except a few of my shoes. REally nice ones too - bought on a student budget. Anyway we shrugged it off.

The next time was a few months later when my mum was sleeping in her room. About noon - yes in the day - talk about daylight roberry.

They were very quiet - was very quick only entered the living room. My mum only took a nap for an hour. When she woke up - she saw a few things missing. They only took a radio and a cellphone.

She felt very bad (invasion of privacy, etc) as she is a middle aged conservative minded lady. So she called the cops. They promptly arrived three days later and asked us to supply a list of all the items missing and any proof of ownership

Then did absolutely nothing about it. We tried to call the person/ officer incharge and they would reply with - we are on it. Blah blah.

My opinion of the cops is reducing lower everyday. Back where I come- if you catch a theif - he gets bashed. Then the cops come - and then he gets a bashing his grandchildren will never forget.

Out here - its like you are going to jail for life or 6 months whichever comes first. And yeah you will be let out after a month for good behaviour. But we shouldn't complain. As it goes right to the top. See the news yesterday - the drivers get penalised for speeding with Helen Clark - yeah right! What a load of crock.

Seems like we like the rotten parts of society here.

Better rights for prisoners --- gah!

I'm not suggesting you deserved it, just that it was highly predictable given the circumstances. Drugs, theft, burglary and violence are all intimately associated to each other. Get involved in on and it will lead you to another.
