Welcome to the world of parenthood. Big hugs to you Jude you did a great job, as he is quite a good looking little man, and I mean that honestly.

Awwwwwww - fantastic news, and the heartiest of congratulations to you both.

I was just talking to a (relatively) new father yesterday and the pride and love on his face and in his voice bought a tear to my eye.

    Enjoy

Well I suppose congratulations are in order. While I am happy for you please, for the health of your baby, do not ask me to hold it... I mean... HIM. I will of course, offer the obligatory hugs (solely to the parents) at the appropriate time and place....

It's an amazing and life-changing thing, something you can't understand until you've experienced it yourself. Even though it's 24 years and one week (today) since I first became a father, I can still remember the feeling, like you're the most special person in the world, and the most fantastic thing has just happened to you.
    Happy, happy day!

On an aside, we've been in the metric system for how many decades now?
How come the baby's weight is still an overwhelmingly imperial thing? :spudwhat:

    Anyway, Happy Birthday, James!
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Congrats Jude and Dave - I guess now we've got to have a lunch to wet the baby's head and let Col catch up with his hugs.

Excellent stuff Jude and Dave. The CPAP tubes certainly bring back memories of three years ago with Nicky spending three days in SCBU.

Get the sleep while you can.

    Congratulations! Kids rock.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
