    Thai boxing gyms

Hey guys, for those of you that are into it, or have done it,

are there any differences between gyms for a complete beginner?

Just contemplating whether to go to one near by or travel 20min or so into town.

Want to do it mainly for fitness, and maybe enter couple bouts later on.

This is in Auckland, and I live in the west near Kumeu.

i have been to two different ones in chch. one had beginners classes that started right from the basics while the other one didnt have enough people so beginners and intermediates where both in one class - therefore the beginners never really got taught the basics

i would say try both out and see which instructors you like best. also chech out the equipment - pads, cardio gear, weights equipment etc. also size of the classes and the class times are another thing to take into consideration

price is another factor. check if you have to sign up for a set time like a gym or if you can just pay monthly, weekly etc without being tied down by a contract

also travelliing an extra 40 minutes each lesson could get a bit annoying.......

Dude you have heaps of options up there.

City Le gar - Sifu, Balmoral - Lolo, ETK - Jason Suttie

They are all tough gyms and produced some good fighters.
