looking for a reasonable late model (say 03 - 06) GN250 in CH-CH for my sons first road bike. He's been saving, and is very keen. Cheers

yeah, mine will be for sale in a few months time.

1990 GN250, flat bars, aftermarket pipe, velocity stack on the carb (will put airbox back on and jet appropriately for next owner), ported head, polished engine internals (piston, combustion chamber, exhaust ports), jetted carb

    dyno'd at 36hp

its approaching 70000kms, i've owned it since 40000k's (just before actually), flushed the engine completely when i bought it, did a top end rebuild (piston rings, valve guides, checked valvespring, runout ect.ect.) at around 58000kms. Always run on Castrol GTX20-50

The bike is reliable, goes pretty hard.

Its been dropped twice at low speed (15km's first time, 25km's next time) due to wet road/crap on the road. First time the handle bar got bent and a mirror needed replacing. This time the tank got dinged so i sent it to reflections to get repainted (picking it up tommorow)

Heres some pics of the bike before the repaint

Headers have been VHT painted black.

It served me well, im getting a bigger bike in march so thats when its being sold. I guess ill want like a grand or something for it. $1000 to a KB member seems fair, she's rough round the edges but will see you through your learner and restricted licences. Has some go too, haven't had trouble keeping up with ZXR/CBR/FZR/VTR/GSF 250's and the like.

i guess it really depends on what your definition of soon is

Oh, and its a made in japan GN, not the chinese one, that and i've cleaned the engine up a bit since those photos and also put on a new flat bar (black)

cheers filthy, he wanted it real soon, in fact so soon that his money burnt a hole in his pocket, and when I came home from work today he had bought one from the buy/sell without even asking me to check it out!! 15 year old thinks he knows everything!! Went round & offered they guy $200 less than he wanted & got it. A bit newer than yours though (an 06 which is what he wanted). Yours looks classic with that stubby little pipe though.
