    WANTED: HRC derestrictor for NC30

    WANTED: HRC derestrictor for NC30 vfr400

    HRC derestrictor for NC30 just like to find out if anyone has one of these or knows where to get one from
    i get enough execise just pushing my luck

    From what I understand the HRC unit are near on Impossible to get. Plus you have to run full HRC loom.

    yip i just want to get the speed limiter off
    i get enough execise just pushing my luck

    Apparently you can add an 2.2 ohm into the circuit and this will cut out the speed limiter.

    That's the CDI, which gives more ignition advance at the top end.

    The derestrictor is just that, plugs in in-line between the CDI and the loom. As it happens I just sold mine...

    you can derestrict a NC30 with some pliers, search wikipedia for VFR400

    just ahve to take that pesky speedo cable out and walla, redlining in 6th
    dont unlug the speedo though, or the engine goes into "safe" or somthign adn runs like shit

    there's a tab inside the speedo, where once the needle hits the 180 mark it hits the tab and two cylinders stop firing to limit your speed

    just bend the tab out of the way. problem solved.
