Chris and I had a quick yarn about it on Saturday night.
I had suggested Makarora a month or two back but he made the point that with there only being one road in and one road out there wasn't really anywhere we could go for a group ride without someone having to retrace the route they took to get there.

A good point I thought.

I kind of thought that somewhere along the south coast would be good but November tends to be a bit windy and changeable so I suggest Otago or South Canterbury, away from the coast.

How about Naseby, I have some contacts in that area so could do some research on a place?
There are loads of routes to get there, including gravel and tracks.
I think I would go over the Lindis, down to Oamaru then back over the Pig Root to get there.
A ride through Middlemarch to Dunedin or McRaes or St Bathans for lunch are all options that spring to mind for the Sunday.

Yep, great wee town Naseby, sounds pretty good to me.

How is it off for a suitable KB spot?
You know, away from the public a bit and with the required facilities etc.

As I say, I have a few contacts there so I'm pretty sure I could find a place.
