I second what marty says.Check your frame out first and if using an easy out a tap shouldn't be necessary.

about what size is the threaded portion (in mm)?

#edit# just re-read the thread. forget the handlebar. get the frame checked for straightness first. could all be a waste of time. an 80k highside is gonna hurt most bikes. terminally. i presume you were insured?

HMMMM riding without insurance,I guess you've learned your lesson.Yes its possible you've bent your frame or sub frame(if it has one(not familiar with your bike) or seat(unlikely).Do a search on frame checking or start a thread requesting help checking subframe.Best would be take it into a shop to get checked over.I guess you could roll it along a level surface and check if it pulls to one side.Goodluck.

Have seen the damage ... Shame about the tank.
Your clutch bar... Mmmm I'll tell you how before I turn up with a drill and easyout. I would be surprised if we can get it out. Tis about a 19mm shaft that is broken off in the clamp that goes around the fork tube.
Can give it a try but may end up being easier to remove the top triple clamp and take the bit into an engineering place.

I was expecting a larger diameter considering its the handle bar.
Your lucky it didn't have any loctite on it
While you sit there liking things just cos' everyone else does, I'll be standing up here keeping it real.

eek! You should have put some dustcloth or summit to stop all them filings doing wicked things to your fairing!

Anyhow, good result so far! Keep us posted!

I didnt take a pic of the rest of the left hand side. !! A few alloy filings are easily sorted, the rest of the damage.. mm will take longer

yeah im thinking of just replacing all the damaged parts including fairing instead of messing around trying to fix them

There isnt an easy way. Unless you can get a long screw-driver down the whole length to break the glue you can only cut it off. You'll have to get a new set
