Anybody know what "RC211V" stands for when talking about Hondas MotoGP bike? I've read it somewhere, but can't find the information on the net.
Cheers

a quick google came up with :
From hereExamining the history, a name with "RC" seemed most appropriate for a Honda four-stroke GP machine. Indeed, the machine with a "RC" was crowned with glory in Honda's firm racing history. Crowning "RC" on the name of the new machine that is going to set out in a new racing world of the new century means nothing but expressing Honda's passion and resolution toward the grand prix. Hence, a name starting with "RC" was settled.
After the "RC" came "211" for 21st century's first factory made machine. Furthermore, a letter "V" was added at the end to indicate the V-type engine, five of five cylinders in Greece number and the initial of Victory.
