    American Gangster film?

Anyone else seen it, i saw it about a month ago but know that its out in theaters here now?

I thought it was bloody good, slightly long but after reading up on the people that the film was based on made the film a whole lot more interesting the second time around.

    Saw it last Monday.
It thought it took a while for the pieces of the story to come together & some of the back story that takes place needed a little more detail to really make it a fantastic movie.
The critics are giving it a bloody good write up overall, but me a give it a 6 out of 10.
Its well put together and cinematography is excellent. Its just lacking a little more substance to really keep me hooked.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.

I thought it was pretty 'meh'.

Not really worth a trip to the cinema. Moderately diverting for a bored evening at home with a DVD player if you don't have much going on, but I personally have so few free evenings that I'd rather do something a bit more special than watch a film that is 'meh'.

Wife and myself enjoyed it. Denzel Washington has a stellar performance and Ridley Scott rarely disappoints. Russell Crowe's peformance reminded me of "A Beautiful Mind".

Thought it was a bit slow and disjointed at the start, but it soon got going.

    Very watchable.
    Cheers,

Very dissappointing considering I was on a date, went to the cinema and we didnt even make out!

What kinda movie ya call that???

hahaha....it was good, dragged out in some places but overall I enjoyed it...love the soundtrack!! Awesome mix of genres although some of it did not match the setting of the movie as there were particular genres which didnt match up to the "year" of the setting.

Yeah not exactly the type of film where you can look away for long nor does it really set much of a mood.

Have to try harder next time or see a diff movie :P

    1000th Post congrats
