Looks very nice, I have always liked the curvy ones

Your little incident sounded exactly like something that happened to me a few years ago on my 600, same place as well. What you did was way better than my response at the time (brake brake brake) I crossed the line and almost went straight into the oncoming vehicle.
Took me ages to learn what you have described, so well done

    HA!

Atleast I woulda come up with an excuse! ...you just stood me up! No texts, no phone call...sniff sniff...I thought we had something good? looks away wistfully.... Still having trouble with that phone of yours my dear?

SE handles much nicer with the new front on - man what a difference! Just felt lurvely...now I just need to click in properly. Did feel like I made him more MY BITCH tonight.

Only a sedate trip round the bays and then a fang out to UHutt to show him off to ma daddy...who did a great job of ohhhing and ahhhing and chortling appreciatively at the throaty growl.

I felt too that even on the long straight boring motorway I got more in tune with the bike, used to where the revs sit, how it feels, reacts and generally what it does...oh and of course there's that sound.....owwwww I do love that sound!

Need to just keep riding it, not expect tooo much of myself (put pressure on) and concentrate on getting the old basics right, natural, smooth and getting used to operating the thing while keeping an eye on and avoiding run ins with those other buggas we share the road with who are all out to kill me!

New gears arriving tomorrow. My first pair of motorcycle boots and cordura!!!! ....mmmmm nice light, flexible, slidey cordura with real armour.... Leather feels very 'supportive' and is good but I hate that I feel stuck in place on the bike I need to be free.....aaaaaaa

Exciting that this will be the first time in my riding life when I have been able to get gears that weren't 'just the cheapest available' - crikey they sting though so I wasn't able to go to the top of line.. But does feel very flash and lovely! Ladies gear is so much better and more available than it used to be when I was first riding too...yay! No more saggy baggy crutches, too tight thighs and loose waists

Anyway getting to love my bike more and more each day. Looking forward to commuting tomorrow... bit more entertaining than usual in the old people mover Pity I won't be looking quite so turned out at work but bugga them! They didn't appreciate it anyway

Oh and I have my first lot of visor splatter earned as a rider and not as a pillion in a very long time.

Too much traffic last night though, everywhere. Thanks Sevens

And as for not texting, who's the one who didn't let me know time and place? The whole day to tell me and not a word. Pfffft. Heh

Yeah I didn't know what time I was going to get free by and the little boy was being a bit of a pooh so it took longer than I'd hoped to disentangle myself, then my sitter was a bit slow off the mark.

Helmet ok...not as good as my last one 'in terms of noise level' but will do the trick and I'm not complaining

Love that bike. WOF today and new gears so looking like a good loooong weekend ahead of me

Wear ear-plugs, your bike will sound better and it improves your riding. Trust me.

    Heh!

    Because I had to:

    Eat my broken inner child
    Punch my poisonous butt
    Tighten my angry prisoner
    Clean my ancient hair
    Pay my bulky wart
    Lose my deadly mom
    Bathe my huge underpants
    Climb my miserable rash
    Eat my burnt banjo
    Analyse my demented garden

I wonder if any of those will get me out of work stuff...

Freaking Typical! I am sitting at work looking out at this glorious day wondering why it just had to be crap weather for the two days I had taken off to enjoy my new bike and has cleared up beautifully just in time for the very exciting commute to work whippdeedoo!

Have just texted boss to see if he will be ok with me taking a half day tomorrow so I can get out and about....unfortunately only half day as I have meetings I can't pike out on.

    Goooorgeous day!

My 11.30 meeting called it short as he was aware I was off on my bike at meeting conclusion - bless his cotton socks we were both off for rides.

His the fitness freak variety - biking a long way....peddle power prfft

Got out and went up the line to pie cock.

Lurvely day for a wee tootle. But have a question....do bike cops have mufti bikes? Saw a whole bunch of them about sorry typical girl just noticed they were a pretty cobalt blue colour.

And I learned some stuff too...

    • There's no place better on a sunny day than cruising on two wheels overlooking gorgeous sea views.
    • Cheesecutter barriers are disconcerting to be riding along next to in traffic...ignorance is bliss eh?
    • It always pays to stick to the 50k speed limit in 50k areas as round that corner there will be a towtruck towing an oversized trailor who will pull out without indicating! Just as well I'm so conservative
    • Bike cops don't wave or acknowledge other bikers...sad mofos...couldn't they tell how excited and enthusiastic I was and I wasn't doing anything dum?! (except of course bothering to acknowledge them) Grumpy cooonts!
    • I'm a pleasure rider not a speed racer . Total nana and actually I find that as long as I'm on my bike (even in the 50k areas) I love and enjoy every moment
