You asked the question so by definition YOU are. The only PC I have a hope of understanding is a Personal Computer. I only use that to browse for porn and taunt social workers.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

No I'm not politically correct and have often been accused as being blunt and tactless.

Thanks, thats me,always the one asking the questions others are to polite or afraid to ask.Two friends of mine are now married (hope thats a good thing) because I bluntly asked them if they were an item or not having noticed them spending a lot oftime with each other. They were both to shy to tell the other that they secretly liked each other until I forced the topic, ooops.

    Well done you

Where as I nowadays always seem to ask people about their partner/ spouse to find out they just split or are getting divorced!!

Sometimes you do have to be a little sneaky, that is how I got my Kiwi man (just don't tell him)!! I think being too blunt would have had him running for the hills He is used to it now and seems to rather appreciate it.

Asking questions is how we learn and progress so you keep asking those questions and challenging others, you never know they might actually learn something too!!

Too many know-it-alls and bigmouths use anti-PC as an excuse for being annoying arrogant syphillis infected toe rags.

    PC? Me? No, not really.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Politeness and political correctness aren't the same thing. You can avoid the use of PC terminology (which is most often identified by the use of 'excessive' gender neutral terms) without having to resort to being blunt. So if you use terms like "flight attendant" instead of Steward/Stewardess or use this new annoying habit of referring to all male and female stars of the screen as "actors" instead of actors/actresses, then you're basically being PC. Gender and race neutral terms are the most obvious terms, but I imagine there are many others.

Granted, it's not limited to linguistics, but that is a significant part of PC. There are also PC ideals, for example toeing the "eco-friendly" line just for "eco-friendly" sake. To me the differentiating factor would be the motivation; someone who has adopted "eco-friendly" after a solid education in sciences then years of experience working with the results of "non-eco-friendly" messes would, to me, have taken that stand from personal experience and rationalisation. Someone who is "eco-friendly" because the TV says everyone should be is swaying towards PC.

    Well, that's my take anyway.

Am I politically correct? Let me open my personnel access hatch and find out...

I remember being at a conference some years ago where keynote speaker Guy Chapman introduced himself as Person Personperson. That brought the house down.
