Kiwi woman marries Japanese man, turns out to be head of Kawasaki

I heard this story from a reliable source, the details may be wrong but the general point is certain:

A Japanese guy came to do university in New Zealand. He lived at a homestay with a divorced Kiwi woman.
After a year or so they fell in love, and got married! Happiness all around!

But one day the Japanese guy got a letter from Japan, and he said to his new Kiwi wife "I have to go back to Japan, my grandmother has died, she has left me an inheritance."
"Oh my, that's sad dear. What is the inheritance?"
"She was the main shareholder of Kawasaki Heavy Industries."
    "Oh..."

The Kiwi woman hadn't known anything about this, and suddenly they are multi-multi millionaires. I dunno, maybe billionaires! How much is Kawasaki worth??

    That's a nice surprise eh!

That's pretty cool...I just hope the sudden rise in monetary status doesn't affect their union.

It's amazing what money can do to people!

Otherwise, hope they really get to enjoy it!

100s of Billions. One of the biggest manufacturing firms in the world. The bikes are a hobby in a shack compared to the rest of the operation.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

If there's a God, and if s/he's got a sense of humour, the lady's ex rides a Kawasaki too.

Very true, in fact from a Honda book I read it was claimed that Kawasaki only produced bikes to introduce their product to the American market, as Honda was already successfully doing. Mind you, it was only a few years back that Kawasaki were in a bit of financial bother, with company debt at 2.75 times what it had in shareholder equity.

OMG ... I just went to the website ... it's HORRIBLE. It looks like one of those Japanese porn anime sites (that I have been told about!)

Perhaps my next career change will be as web designer for Japanese conglomerates with free company products 'for evaluation purposes'. (I wonder if Honda need my services)

We had a Chinese boy as home stay while he was studying in NZ. He was 12yo. Our son (same age) got $10 as weekly allowance and we had a talk to his parents saying that we felt it would be good if they had the same. They agreed.

A few weeks later he comes home with new skateboard, shoes, shorts. Only the best. I asked where he did get them. He told me he had bought them with his EFT-POS card. His mum had given it to him in case he needed something...

I asked if I could see the card. I then looked in to how much money there was, They had put in NZ$ 1 million to his account!!! (YEP!!) Just in case he needed something...

May the bridges I burn light the way.

    Scarey.

The first time I got married, I married a bunny boiler.

I knew she was mad, but I thought I could change her.

She may have been a Bunny Boiler, but what does that make me?
