    Monarch madness

Anyone have a huge abundance of these guys this year? In spite of my reluctance to interfere with nature, Mrs Laava has pulled off all the chrysalis's[chrysali Mr H?] and taped them to our house so they don't get dropped by the swarm of caterpillars still decimating the swan plant. The plant is only small and in spite of the butterflies already hatched and the current caterpillars, we have 59 hanging chrysalis.

I planted a Swan plant this year to help them along. Bastards ate the whole fecking thing and came knocking on the door for seconds. It looks like a twig now.

Hopefully the population is healthy. I only spotted a few of them though.

This is the remains of the stick. Thankfully new growth is coming through.

I do enjoy trying to shoot the buggers.
I rode up to the wintergarden to see if they were about.

    None there.
