You can only bitch so much about it, if people are capable of passing their licence tests etc, then they are more than capable about making their own choices.

Once again this topic is raised in the Scooter place. Why is this as I see just as many motorcycle riders in shorts, with inadequate footware and with no gloves. Post where they can see it. I was even more alarmed when a young scooterist followed about a meter behind my cage. I slowed right down but even then I would have had to wipe some of him off my car if I had been forced into a quick stop.

Well, fuck me, but why don't you go and start a revolution?

What can I say, they'll start wearing shit as soon as they have a nice slide on the asphalt.

Except they don't ride like stupid-arse sprotsbikers, so the chances of such a slide are vastly reduced. Go and preach your sermons somewhere else.

i see tons of pretty girls scootering past my work every day... wearing as little as possible. their choice. they wont look so pretty if they come off. but, in saying that, ive come off a 250 at 50 odd k in a singlet and was unhurt except for my jeans covered legs. wearing next to no gear is not always a guarantee that an off will result in those photos.

hell... if helmets were law, i wouldnt wear one of those either!

This is where the government should step in - it should be MANDATORY for hot chicks to wear as little as possible.

Swamp donkeys however can wear full gear

Their choice, their choice ... bla bla - what a load of crap.

All the $ going to pay for their medial due to their foolishness is paid by ACC - who pays that - OH YEAH ME AND YOU. Why do you think the ACC levy on bikes is increasing? More accidents....

If I had my way there would be no ACC cover for people not wearing safety gear - gloves, shoes/boots, jacket and trou....... And I'd ban open face helmets.

Over Xmas I was in my local dairy and a young thing came in with her leg in a cast - a friend of hers came in after asked how she did it - a scooter accident apparently. I was most impressed with her when she left and jumped on a battered scooter without her helmet and rode off down the road. Maybe a good blow to the head will fix her.....

    ..
Yeah! And push bike riders should wear full leathers as well, the foolish sods. Same with bloody pedestrians, those adrenalin junkies.

As for rugby players! Total foolishness! American footballers could teach them a thing or two about safety!!

Bikes are clearly so dangerous the speed should be limited to 20kph as well!

SAFETYSAFETYSAFETY We need to protect people from their foolishness!!

Ban it Tax it Regulate it NOW
