    Firefox

So, after failing to get rid of my IE7 issues I have downloaded Firefox, which seems OK.

Couple of Q's. How do I access favourites without going to the 'bookmarks' tab.

How do I open a new tab without 'ctrl/t'?

edit..........ooop just figured out the 'new tab'

alt + b gets the bookmarks
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

There are some great Firefox add-ons that are just marvellous! AdBlocker Plus is gold. So too is the spellchecker (be warned about that US "English" crap). Download status bar, colourful tabs, Fasterfox, Googlebar, Wizz RSS, and heaps more.

How do you get firefox to cache web pages? Kiwibiker is sucking up a lot of bandwidth just by reloading the banner and such each time.

hold Ctrl when clicking on a link, it will open the link in a new tab. Also if you have multiple tabs open, when you double click on the empty space to the right of the right most tab, it will open a new tab. or just go to file open new tab. but I prefer ctrl-t so much better.

Remember ctrl-w will close the current tab.

Middle click on hyperlinks opens them in new tabs. Middle click on the tabs to close them.

I've got a chunky 3 button mouse and it's perfect for Fx.

Tab Mix Plus is a good extension, especially useful is the "undo close tab" function.

Interesting... I use Vista all day everyday along with IE7 to access SharePoint (MOSS). I never have a problem with IE other than the fact I freakin hate it!

IE7 is a bloody pain in the ass for accessing Outlook Web Access. Pity you don't get full functionality with Firefox... its about the only reason I ever use IE.

    favourites

You can also drag your favourites from the drop down window to just underneath the address window.
I think (from memory) there is one already there called latest headlines.

Just click and hold and place next to it, then your favourites are sitting in front of you.
