Trust us Gary, we are tryin man...
I laid everything on the line at Timars, rode as hard as I have ever had, but ol' Glen is smooth and fast. He sure has some nice gear too. That rear shock beats the 12 year old road bike dampner i got fitted to mine, hahaha
But Gary; you can't take anything away from Bugden, Williams, Charlett, Morgan and young Jones. They are just very good. Big respect to all of them. Hopefully I can learn something.

Now where is the rest of that fibreglass. I got sum serious work to do...

The no comment was only directed at Glen personally as we've been having this power vs handling debate for some time now.

Theres always so much going on at the track that explains how things pan out in the results.

Sweet as, no worries Gary, sure is an interesting debate. I mean I've only got this race bike, my first, about 16 months ago. I love the little 400. And it certainly is a nice bike, prepped by the very best in the FIII kawasaki business. Its light and agile too. However, my investment doesn't go as far as some of the nice forks, radial brakes, carbon wheels, Ohlins rears as some of the others. Take the time to check out the Fitzgerald, Williams, Nairn and Adairs family machines in the FIII paddock at Manfield, you'll see that we really have to ride the pants of the 400hundies.
All good tho, having lots of fun and trying to learn as much as possible in the process.
But in the end; nothing beats a real well sorted package (power and handeling) matched to a fit and seasoned rider. Just what Williams and Fitzy are; they are proffesionals (in a NZ context) with oodles of seasons and laps under their belts.
Pretty awesome to race with them as you'll hardly see them put a foot wrong and just ride very fast, very smooth and very consistent.

Big respects to you Eric, - your showing that you have plenty of pace yourself !. Bad luck at Teratonga dude, - you were setting a very quick target to reach in qualifying.
Re some of the gear on the trick Sv's - youd be surprised how well priced some of that stuff is with a lot of it from the second hand market. My budget this year which included building the bike is Waaaay under last years superbike budget (which didnt include the bike), - (but on the other hand I aint got the quickest engine out there aye, - so I suppose it could cost a bit more if I tricked up the motor even further.............maybe next year.......:-).
Best of luck for the remainder of the series Eric.

    Cheers

Thanks glen i am having a lot of fun, riding around the country with my team mates in our van. priceless moments really. Wish I had done the track riding a long time ago. When I see little dudes like young Cain and Jones I think, wow, they got heaps of years in front of them. Coming to think of it; i hate to say it; but i'm surprised i'm still alive after road riding for so long. Got out on my road bike just before the Nats and though: 'wow this is just crazy out here, to many 3 tonne campervans and shit every where lurkin to kill us...' racing is by far more fun.
I hear what your saying about the sports production and superbike budgets. Thats huge, very hard to attain.
I like formula three, friendly, yet fiercely competive and still affordable. We are just having great fun keeping the multi cyclinders out there and Flying Andy's great name and logo. he is a great coach, mentor, friend and supporter (people: Colin Clyne Kawasaki is the place where you want to head )
Now i see the US dollar is at about 80cents. E-bay here I come for some fruity parts
You just stay away from that motor of yours man, its layin down enough pace as it is
    ciao
