Cry me a river mate, ever tried being a chick on a building site?
For some odd reason most of the "males" on site don't think a chick can do the job as well as a man can. I still don't get paid as much. I work twice as hard and get no fucken credit.
I threw a 8m prop at a sexist pig at work.. He go the point and was fired.
The world will look up and shout "Save Us!", and I'll whisper "no"

Did you have any automotive experience? if not, were you expecting to get the job because of being a male? and it came as a shock to not get it.

How do you know the female applicants had no automotive experience ??
If what you are saying is actually how it was....(ie) they were WOMAN" so they automatically got first bite of the cherry...then that appears descriminative

Because for hundreds/thousands of years men were dominant. They feel - I am not sure I should be using they or we here - that their inherent dominance is being challenged, and respond with derision and scorn. I think that the response is brought about, in part, by the fact that women do a better job than men in many situations.
A diminutive cerebrum, or at least the feeling of such, is likely to produce a crude response. IMO women are more likely to articulate themselves better - a consequence of being more social?? - and we feel threatened by that. Not being a psych person I cant back that up with studies, but I think that is supported by observing the actions of bullies...

    True

Which is why I think it will be a GREAT thing if/when HILLARY Clinton makes president in the 2008 elections, in which she supposedly will be running. Only thing is, they'll have to get rid of Condoleeza Rice, just imagine the two of them arguing! Imagine how many handbags the whitehouse will go through
