For posting "give the guy a medal" some nameless latte drinking JAFA decided to red rep me with "No one thinks that. Serious subject. Get real!"

Hell I'm perfectly serious.. That father should not be arrested, or punished for his actions. He should get the US equivalent of an order of merit medal for community service.

As far as I'm concered the minute that guy raped an 8 year old kid he gave up any human rights, legal rights, or any other rights. The father had every moral right to do what he did and should have the legal right too..

    Wow

You really are enlightened. You sound like enough of a red-neck that maybe you should apply to the US and ask if you can have that job!!

Not all people respond as a gut reaction.

For some it could be calculated response
For others its could be a values/morals based reply to what they and their loved ones may have logically and rationally accepted as an outcome.

I dont underestimate the impact of a horror such as rape on a rape victim.

Do you think you have perhaps underestimated the impact of such a tragedy on those close to them?

    No

I have witnessed what rape can do to a family and believe me it is not pretty and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

I still believe that certain men and fathers are motivated by the primary fight or flight response in such instances and want to do something to try and restor order. They just do not necessarily think of the implications of their actions on those around them.

Ookkaaaayyy...This is a difficult one, as being a mother and obviously a female , I tend to want to hit hard on such a subject.

However, being at one another's throat is not going to help, is it?

As a mother, I'd tend to agree with Lias where someone doing something this horrible forgoes any entitlement to a treatment reserved to human beings.

As a woman, rape is one of the most horrible things that can happen to a person, and yes, that would be valid for men too...I have known a young man who had to suffer this fate, and he is and always will be scarred from the experience in ways I'd rather not describe here.

I agree wholeheartedly with Sixpackback that it is just a really tragic story.

    Mother

As a mother I respect your opinion as such but as someone who has dealt with this issue personally I can tell you that the thought of losing my father to prison was not worth the risk of telling him. Luckily by the time he found out there was no way he could exact any retribution. If he had done what som many people on here are suggesting then he would have more than likely died in prison in stead of at home surrounded by his family. I, my brother, my mother and the rest of my family would have lost all those years with my dad and for what?

Said it before - I'll say it again... testicular removal.

The threat of losing their malesness/manhood is enough to make a lot of guys take notice... and the loss of the source of many drives will also suppress the behaviour in the future...

One of the problems is there (USA) and our justice system. If going to the police and the courts some justice could be felt, then perhaps such things wouldnt happen. But look at the article....Obviously dad did report him and the little fuck was alowed bail. To make matters worse the dad is suppose to pick him up, bring him home around the daughter and feed and clothe him WTF. I say the shit deserved it and the only problem I see is dad shoulda paid someone else to do it so he didnt get busted.

I bet that stopped the little fuck from wanting to do it again, could the prison system offer that?

Oficially no... unoficially... I understand Kiddie fiddlers don't have a good time in prison. A lot of things get overlooked from time to time in kiddie fiddler land... small things like locking doors to their cells... keeping them safe at night.

God help anyone charged that's actually innocent though...

Sorry to hear...I bet that was a pretty difficult time in your life, which may still be affecting you, and quite rightly so...

I don't think there is an "emotional correct" answer, if you know what I mean.

Would not the knowledge that her father would go to such extreems give the girl some joy. And she knows damn well the fucker that touched her wont come nearer than four states as long as the dads alive.

Trying to think of what I'd do if my daughter was raped is a hard thing to do, but needless to say, the guy would never wlk again. I have many friends that would hapily take turns beating the sicko within an inch of his life, and some with enough medical practice to nurse him back to reletive health for more punishment. I could draw it out for years, and gift my daughter some video of it on her 21st birthday.

in perfect honesty, if something like this was done to one of MY family, the cunt would find himself with his dick in a vice, a hacksaw in his hands, in a burning shed

There is no punishment horrible enough for this sort of crime

    Poor girl
