Well the fix didn't last long. I lunched the piston and a valve.
Does anyone want 3.5 gl145 motors?
you'll need lots of pistons and valves...

    I've ordered a Loncin

Bungbung - Just remember the bottom engine mounting is wider on the Loncin than the GL145,...as I found out the hard way

triples are the smoothest engines around, a V3 is no different to a inline 3.

Not neccesarily, compare a 180 degree Jota to a 120 degree Jota, both are triples and there's a big difference in vibration between them

Most triples seem to run 120 degree cranks as that's the arrangement which gives the least vibration

Honda did make some good V3's,....well the NS400R was good in it's day, if a little down on power compared to the RG & RZ500,...and who could forget Freddie Spencer on the factory v3 GP bike in 1982 & 83.

OK, heres mine, I'd say finished, but they never really are, are they?
First time out on the gavimonsta 150, died in practice for some reason, so first full lap was in a race, on a wet track on slicks, yay!
Have since lowered the bars, secured the seat properly, done oil and filter change, saftey wired it etc and now ready for BOB, woohoo!
