Simple! If you don't like the taste, don't drink it.
Don't even attempt to acquire a taste for it.
It doesn't matter what you like/don't like to drink.
Plenty of other ways of "fitting in".

Get a bottle of Schwepes Raspberry cordial, open a beer... (goes well with 'Ice') take a wee skull, put some cordial in... it sweetens it up and actually tastes really good...

I used to have them all the time back in the day, now when I see the cordial, I'll get it... & occasionally have one.

Its called a 'snakebite'... common in the UK so i've been told?!?...

Lion Red is so far away from what beer should taste like anyway I would not bother... far too much of a 'mass produced' taste. Kiwi's have a lot to learn!

Get yourself a Guinness or Bodingtons.

I tried Guinness a while back. It was weird. Very watery and bitter. Didn't like it. though supposedly here we get the shit from the Dublin brewery and the other stuff, wherever it comes from, is meant to be better.

Beer is alright. Export brings back good memories so I often go for it. Everyone tells me it's cheap crap, but stuff 'em, I like it. Jim Beam straight is good too.

Vita-Stout & raspberry is the ol' recipe, a good way to get iron absorbed into the body too (not a joke).
If you don't like beer, don't drink it. It is not un-normal.

Seriously Mark - from what I read energy drinks are the last thing you need.

Nope - a snake bike has larger and cider mixed (with a dash of raspberry) - they are not that common as most pubs wont serve them - they do have a tendency to send you off your face very quickly

Guinness not mass produced ?? [give that man a Tui] - its one of the most produced beers in the world. About 40% of it is brewed in Africa, and headquartered in London, its as Irish as Britney Spears.

Sounds what you need to do is vodka bomb it.
1 double of vodka + 1 tall of Beer.
Another note is you may like the sweeter beers. Radler/Pilsner and the like.

Skidmark is young, a lot of people develop a taste for bitter food and drink as they get older.

Mark, do you like black coffee/no sugar? what about grapefruit?
    Gin and tonic?

If the answer is mostly no, stick to rtds and try beer in 5 years time.

Ah, yes, but if you ask nicely and can get all the way through your request without falling over, most pubs will serve you a pint of lager, a bottle of cider and an empty glass.

kiwibiker is full of love, an disrespect.

We had a night on them in London once (first time drinking them). My mate had a job interview the next day (didnt get it), and I vomited all over my desk in Barings bank and was sent home. Not a good look aparently.
