Nice! I wouldn't rave about it too much, but it's very clean, very fresh, with a slight zing from the additions. Lemony something.
There's obviously a bit of wheat in the mash, very good.

I am pleased it's a real beer, not a sweet and spicy and strange one like the Monteith's Summer. Although I do like that one, the monteith's is more of a novelty beer. This Mac's is real beer, but beer for summer.

Now, if only I lived up north, not in Dunedin, I'd have much more opportunity to enjoy it!
Its on tap in trhe nelson area, I have been told..... Im really starting to enjoy macs copperhopnow as well, bloody supermarkets keep selling outta the summer ale .

    Love it.

I went to a barbecue last night, took Sapporo made in Canada. Had some Japan brewed cans once, same shape but the whole lid came out so it was almost like drinking out of a glass.

And the beers not bad either

Beer is supposed to be bitter, that's the hops. The hops are in there as a sterilising agent. One book I read said that in the old days the beer was much more bitter than today's brews. The author thought we wouldn't be able to drink the old stuff.

The old sailing ship wreck "Tudor Rose" had bottles of beer on it and some chemists were quite keen to play with the contents. I haven't seen any news as to how they got on.

I'm my mind Sapporo is the best beer in the world.
I wanted to hug the Sapporo machine in our Ryokan. But then the Japanese would have to kill me (very formal bunch).
So i bowed to it instead.

Sapporo is really good. But then again all the nipponese beers I've tasted have been really good. Asahi, Kirin Ichiban, etc.

Nah, they would be more likely to grudgingly expect you to cut your stomach open and bleed to death for such a breach of ettiquette. The nipponese generally don't kill people as a punishment - they expect the perp to realise that he should take care of that part himself...
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

    Tell that to Nanking!
Nah i found that Sapporo was the best for me. Feels good, tastes good. Asahi tasted too much like it was brewed with sawdust for my liking. Kirin is so Lion Red. The Kirin top shelf stuff was ok - sort of like a cross between kilkenny and Mac Black.

They have recently assumed that status for me (as far as Kiwi brewers are concerned), their Brewjolais is the stuff for me.
