Was a time that i home brewed beer and got a lager recipe wrong and put in too much sugar. First bottle was great, but had trouble getting to the fridge for a second, reckon it was up there with santaclause bier.
Someone mentioned Joseph Kutze. My band won a crate of it in a battle of band Kutze promotion in the 80's. We gave it away, it was bluddy aweful.
Another i remember a brew called Southland Bitter. It was specially brewed for the "tastes of Southlanders". It was drain cleaner horrible and nobody bought it, they went bung.
Another was bavarian bitter. We bought 20 dozen of it for a party because it was cheap, took some time to get rid of it.
For many years i drank Lion red because no one in my flat liked it, so they never drank my beer on me. Heh , heh.
I like lagers like Export Gold, Orangeboon, Stella, Amstel.
Draughts Victoria bitter, speights, and stouts Kilkenny and guinness.
Most kiwi beers are not popular with overseas because they are as weak as piss.
"I want to thank you lord, so far this day. With your help i haven't been impatient, lost my temper, been grumpy, judgemental, or envious of anyone. But i will be going out in a minute and i think i will really need your help to start my bike. Amen."
