Have dropped the triple clamps down the forks 10mm, taken off some rear preload and put some on the front, this will suffice until I can get some expert advice but the truth is it's always going to be a fairly hefty compromise unless I can spend up large at Robert Taylor's.....
Don't get me wrong though, I do like the bike and it's basically doing what I wanted it for.

ow yea ,sounds like you know what your doing already ...or dont you ? their is always OHLINS .... that always solves things quick and easy.
ive seen on some fazer forums about a rear spring swap to a R1 i think it was apparently it allows for more adjustment and better ride height etc

Would'nt mind a R1 shock fullstop, would give me compession adjustment then.
Ohlins is a long term goal until then i'll have to make do with what i've got.

Pfft, I don't really but I could identify that the front needed bumping up and the rear needed easing up, will be refining thing a bit under a more knowledgable riders advice.

Well their is always ebay for the r1 shock ? just have check the years etc that allow you to do a straight swap over.

Am doing this on my katana (not with an r1 shock but a gsxr600 shock) cant wait to get in in their should make a world of difference to the handleing

Then again if you have a warranty ,i dont suppose the insurance peoples would like that idea.

Might be better to save my coin for a proper fix but no harm in looking I guess.
But alas this is off topic....

oh that's a shame - I was looking forward to it.
